Using Prototype and JQuery with Rails3 (UJS)

I've been look for some information on the unobtrusive javascript features in Rails 3, and it turns out that there's not much out there! Either that, or I'm looking in the wrong places.

So here is my attempt to explain some of the features. I'll create two sample blog apps, one using Prototype and the other using JQuery (the code is available on github).

Install Rails 3

If you haven't already, get Rails 3 installed. Everything you need to know is here.

Day Two got off to a good start. Engine Yard did a promotional pitch—the speakers could have been a bit more polished, but it was interesting stuff about their one-button-deployment, and overall not bad for an advertisement.

I’ve just finished my first day of RailsConf 09. Things have gotten started well—I’ve met several interesting people, found some interesting people to follow on twitter. I’ll try to post as much as I can in the way of reviews for those of you attending by blog.
