Ruby 1.9.2 Released

Yuki (Yugui) Sonoda has just announced the release of the stable version of Ruby 1.9.2!
Ruby 1.9.2 has been released. This is the newest release of Ruby 1.9 series. Ruby 1.9.2 is mostly compatible with 1.9.1, except the following changes:

Now that everyone’s CPU and GPU clusters have cooled down, we’re ready to announce the contest winners!

Everyone can still sleep well at night: SHA1 was brutally assaulted, but its walls remain inviolate. The winning Hamming Distance was 30 — which given the time and resources available was a terrific achievement. That means the winner generated a hash that matched 130 bits of the 160 bits of the challenge hash!

Ruby is a pure object oriented scripting language that runs on most personal computer operating systems including Windows, Linux, Mac OS/X, and BSD. Ruby also runs on most commercial Unix based operating systems as well. Ruby was created in 1995 by Yukihiro Matsumoto, usually referd to as "Matz".
