March Madness!

Okay, so maybe madness is a strong word, but March is here, and Ruby and Rails events are back in full swing! We’ll be all over the globe talking Ruby, Rails, and for a special treat, Cloud Computing. If you’ll be in any of the areas we’re visiting, be sure to get in touch—we’d love to meet you!

Ruby and Rails Conferences 2010

There are an incredible amount of Ruby & Rails conferences coming up in the next 6 months. See below to find one in your neck of the woods.

Wordia – an online dictionary

For the last 6 weeks I’ve been head deep coding for a new startup wordia.com The idea is rather fresh – to allow people to learn the meaning of words by watching videos of people saying what the word means to them.

Scotland on Rails Party, Friday evening

If you’re heading up to Edinburgh for Scotland on Rails 2009, you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve teamed up with the guys at Unboxed Consulting to provide free drinks and pizza for the Scotland on Rails party on Friday evening at Fingers Piano Bar in Edinburgh. It’s pretty much a last-minute addition to the programme, but I do think it’s important to have some sort of “official” party/social where everyone is invited.

back home again

After being one week on the road, I'm finally back home again. Last week I presented at RubyFools Copenhagen and Scotland on Rails and therefore traveled a lot.

Scotland on Rails, April 4th-5th

I love Ruby (and Rails) conferences. I attend as many as I can each year, and I’m especially excited about Scotland on Rails coming up in early April. Sure, part of it might be that I haven’t been back to the UK since I was a teenager (and I plan to cool my heels in Edinburgh for a few extra days), but more than anything else, it’s about meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends. It looks like there will be a wide range of both present at Scotland on Rails, and hopefully plenty of hacking, too!
