Robert Dempsey Wants an Agile Coaching Job in San Fran
Yesterday I announced that Atlantic Dominion Solutions was moving to San Francisco. This, in part, is true. What you read in the headline there is fully true. With the move to San Francisco, I am looking for a full-time agile coaching position. I have my eye on one company in particular that I’d like to work for, and plan on calling them until they tell me to shove off or hire me. That’s the plan. It is now time to implement every strategy that Nick Pettit and I have discussed on Rock the Job.
I am hoping that you all can help me to obtain this new position.
Frankly, I haven’t had to write a resume for quite sometime, and having been running every facet of Atlantic Dominion Solutions for the past years, and all of the other projects I’ve worked on, it is hard to put into words exactly what I’m capable of. I do have a LinkedIn profile, though I will try to do better here.
For those that know me in person, I am a serious multi-tasker that thrives on having a ton of work. I like to stay busy. Between running Atlantic Dominion Solutions, Agile coaching, producing Agile videos, holding a yearly Rails conference, pursing an MBA, other projects like Rock the Job and The Agile News, attending local user groups, blogging on business and Agile, holding an Agile meetup, and most importantly my family, I stay out of trouble.
The Atlantic Dominion Solutions mantra – Collaborate. Enable. Succeed. – states my values, and what I feel is important both in life and in business. As Justin will attest, I have always held true to this way of being.
Agile is my passion. I feel that, when combined with lean and six-sigma principles, and then considering company culture, a company can gain a true competitive advantage. I am sure that the marketplace will bear this out. I want to make it so for a company. Perhaps yours.
I am sure that you are wondering what is going to happen with Atlantic Dominion Solutions, especially if you are a potential employer.
I have built Atlantic Dominion Solutions to not rely on my being there to run. Ultimately, this should be the goal of any business owner. Justin will be taking on a much larger role in the company, and I will help to find a salesperson who can continue to bring in more work. Justin and I have discussed this, and he is happy about it. All of our products will continue to be developed (we’ve already worked this one out), and customers will receive the top-notch support and attention they deserve. Atlantic Dominion Solutions is not going anywhere, however, I will no longer have direct involvement with the company.
Hire Me!
If you’re looking for someone like me, or know someone that is, please give me a call at 321-274-4684. I look forward to it.
